A nine-step planning guide for your indoor concrete or cement floor. Review the complete sequence before beginning.
STEP 01
Start with a sound foundation.
1. Inspect the floor
Inspect the concrete or cement substrate before opening any components. It must be structurally sound, clean, dry, and free of loose material.
Details to check before continuing
Check for loose concrete, weak areas, contamination, and visible moisture concerns.
Resolve moisture or structural problems before coating. Epoxy does not repair structural damage.

Resolve moisture or structural problems before coating. Epoxy does not repair structural damage.
Important: Do not coat a floor whose condition or compatibility has not been confirmed.
2. Prepare the surface
Use appropriate surface grinding and cleaning to prepare the concrete or cement. Remove dust, oil, wax, laitance, curing compounds, and loose material.
Follow the approved product instructions for the required surface preparation.
Control grinding dust with appropriate equipment and protection. Thoroughly remove residual dust before application.
Important: Grinding can generate hazardous dust. Use appropriate dust controls and protective equipment.
3. Repair surface imperfections
Properly repair cracks, gaps, and uneven areas before applying the coating. Use a repair method compatible with the substrate and coating system.
Allow repair materials to reach their required condition before coating.
If cracks indicate movement or structural damage, obtain an appropriate assessment before continuing.
Important: Do not use the epoxy coating as a structural repair product.
4. Verify application conditions
The recommended application temperature is 10°C–35°C / 50°F–95°F. The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C / 5.4°F above the dew point.
Measure the actual surface and environmental conditions rather than relying only on a room thermostat.
Maintain suitable conditions and adequate ventilation during the work. Do not apply when condensation is present or likely.
Important: A dry-looking surface alone does not confirm suitable application conditions.
5. Prepare the components
Identify Part A — Epoxy Colored-Sand Base and Part B — Epoxy Hardener. Measure both components by weight using a suitable scale.
Check the labels and enclosed instructions before combining components.
For a total mixed weight of 9 kg, the ratio corresponds to 8 kg of Part A and 1 kg of Part B. This is a ratio example, not a required batch size.
Important: Never substitute a volume measurement for the specified weight ratio.
6. Mix the epoxy
Combine Part A and Part B at the confirmed 8:1 ratio by weight. No dilution is permitted. Do not add solvents.
Use the mixing method, equipment, batch size, and duration specified in the enclosed instructions.
Mixing duration and usable working time are not specified on this website. Obtain those instructions before beginning.
Important: Do not guess the mixing time, pot life, or batch size.
7. Apply the coating
Apply the mixed coating to the prepared indoor floor, using the supplied roller and application accessories where appropriate. Work across the planned area to achieve an even application.
Follow the enclosed sequence for the epoxy and decorative material; do not assume how the decorative material is incorporated.
Plan your route before starting so that you can exit without stepping onto fresh coating.
Theoretical consumption is 2 kg/m². Application thickness and recoat intervals must follow approved product instructions.
Important: Do not invent a thickness or recoat schedule from the coverage estimate.
8. Allow the floor to cure
Full cure takes approximately 7 days at 25°C / 77°F. Full chemical-resistant performance is reached after full cure.
Protect the coated area from contamination and premature use while curing.
Curing depends on conditions. Confirm walk-on and heavy-load times in the approved product instructions; they are not provided here.
Important: A dry surface is not necessarily a fully cured surface.
9. Aftercare
Follow approved cleaning and maintenance instructions after full cure. Remove loose dirt and clean spills promptly with a compatible method.
Avoid abrasive treatment and unapproved cleaning chemicals. Confirm cleaner compatibility before use.
The coating is water-resistant but is not intended for long-term standing water.
Avoid direct sunlight where possible; yellowing may occur.
Important: Keep the booklet and product-specific safety information for future reference.
This website guide is a planning aid. The approved product-specific instructions and Safety Data Sheet govern actual installation. Exact mixing times, working time, thickness, recoat intervals, and traffic times must be confirmed before use.
